What is Cobot Laser Welding?
The essence of cobot laser welding is to integrate laser welding equipment on a cobot welding robot to form a cobot welding system. The precise positioning of the cobot welding robot enables stable welding, and the safety features of the collaborative robot allow operators to flexibly cooperate with the robot, greatly improving production efficiency.
Core Parts of Cobot Laser Welding Systems
The Cobot Welding Package is an integrated solution designed to quickly equip cobots with laser welding capabilities.

Cobot Laser Welding Application
Our cobotic laser welding systems deliver exceptional results in a variety of manufacturing environments.
Flexible Programming & Easy to Use
- Beginner-friendly teaching: Even if you have zero foundation, you can finish programming in just a few minutes.
- Multiple working modes: You can program via the App or use manual drag teaching. The robot can learn independently and memorize the path of motion.
- Remote maintenance: You can perform remote programming and control, as well as remote system upgrades and maintenance.
Safety Protection and Human-Robot Collaboration
- Collision Detection: It is equipped with a sensitive force feedback module. When a collision happens, it will stop running right away, so you can avoid personal injury and equipment damage.
- Safety Protection System: When you enter the robot’s working area, the robot will automatically stop or slow down. After you leave the area, the robot will resume working automatically.
wireless connections & Teaching Met
- Get rid of cable limits: You can connect to the robot directly via your mobile phone or tablet, no need for the traditional bulky wired teach pendant anymore.
- Mobile control: You can use one mobile device to control multiple robots at the same time, making your teaching and management much easier.
Powerful Expandability & Compatibility
- Plug and Play: It comes with standard expansion interfaces, compatible with all kinds of grippers, suction cups, and sensors. You can finish the replacement and deployment in a very short time.
- Multi-platform Support: It is built on the Linux system platform. You can use operating systems like Android, iOS, and Windows to have remote interaction with it.
The Workflow of Cobot Laser Welding
Optimized Start Process
- You position and clamp the workpiece with tooling, and confirm the in-place signal.
- Let the cobot welding torch return to the safe welding origin point.
- Delay 0.5s, then move at a constant speed to the workpiece welding approach point.
- Delay 0.5s, then move precisely to the welding start point.
- Pre-blow shielding gas for 1.0~1.5s to exhaust surrounding air.
- Start the wire feeder and stabilize wire feeding for 0.3~0.5s.
- Trigger the laser to emit light; you let the robot move along the weld seam path to weld synchronously.
Optimized End Process
- You let the robot finish the end weld path and stop the trajectory movement.
- Stop the laser light output first.
- Stop the wire feeder, delay 0.3s, then perform slight wire retraction to avoid wire sticking.
- Keep shielding gas blowing continuously for 1.0~2.0s, turn off the gas later to protect the high-temperature molten pool from oxidation during cooling.
- Delay 0.5s, move the welding torch up to the safe avoidance approach point of the workpiece.
- Delay 0.5s, let the cobot return to the welding working origin point.
- You release the tooling, take off the finished part, replace it with a new workpiece, and wait for the next start signal.
